Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can I bring my dog to the Show?
Yes, provided your dog is well behaved , kept under control and  is restrained on a lead at all times.
Owners must clean up any fouling made by their dog on the show field.
Please note that there is NOT a “Dog Show” being held at this years White Horse Show.

2. Can gun owners bring their own shotgun to participate in the Country Pursuit Clay Pigeon Shoot?
No. Any person carrying a shotgun will not be admitted to the Show. Shotguns are provided by our experienced instructors for members of the public to try this country pursuit.

3. Can I leave the show ground and come back in?
Yes. If you tell our personnel manning the out gate, they will stamp your hand so that you can be re-admitted.

4.What time does the Show open?
Tickets are available on the entrance gates from 08:30. The arena programmes commence at 10:00 on Sunday and 10:30 on Monday.  See “Programme

5.What time does the Show close?
The arena programme ends at 17:00 on Sunday. It is followed by our much loved, open air “Songs of Praise”. The arena programme ends at approximately 16:30 on Monday. On both days after these times, the stalls, marquees, fair and sideshows remain open and there is still lots and lots to see and do.

6. How easy is it to find the Show?
The Show is signposted from all major roads in the surrounding area. Also, see the “Find Us - Map” page on this web site. The Show postcode is SN7 7SD

7. How many persons will a Family ticket admit?
Our excellent value Family ticket admits two adults and up to three children below the age of sixteen. Admission prices are displayed in the bottom left hand corner on most pages of the web site including the HOME page. No entrance charge is made for children below the age of five.

8. Can we bring our “Heavy Horse” to the Show?
The Heavy Horse display and competition takes place on Sunday only. All exhibitors participating will have enrolled some months ago. Any heavy horse owner without the appropriate authorisation and entry passes will not be admitted.

9. Is it possible to push an adult in a wheelchair around the show fields?
The show fields are mown pasture land and as such are bound to be uneven in places. However, if you are able bodied, it is very possible to push an adult in a wheelchair around the site, many people do.
